About This Spot

Stepping into LV. Coffee Project, nestled in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Highland Avenue, feels like finding a quiet pause in the city’s rhythm. The space is bright and open, with sunlight filtering through tall windows that frame the bustling street outside while giving the room an airy, almost expansive quality. It’s the kind of place where time moves at a gentle pace, inviting you to settle in whether you're diving into work or simply seeking a moment of calm.

The atmosphere strikes a thoughtful balance—airy yet intimate, with design details like handcrafted ceramic cups adding a tactile warmth to each sip. Coffee here isn’t just a routine pick-me-up; it’s a small ceremony, where unexpected touches like a lively matcha tonic or a nutty sesame latte elevate the experience. The drinks, carefully crafted, invite you to savor nuanced flavors often hidden behind the quick caffeine grab.

Conversations flow quietly around the room, accompanied at times by a lively soundtrack that fills the bright, tiled space—a reminder of the space’s dual life as both a morning coffee haven and an evening brewery. This overlapping energy adds a subtle buzz without ever feeling overwhelming, making it a place where locals return not just for the drinks but also for the welcoming presence behind the counter and the relaxed ambiance that encourages lingering.

For those looking to pause in a thoughtfully curated environment—whether to read, work, or simply enjoy the art of coffee—LV. Coffee Project offers a genuine local experience. It’s a spot where the details, from the texture of the canelé to the interplay of sweet and bitter in a tonic creation, quietly invite you to explore the craft behind each cup.

Ordered a mocha and a pastry, both were very good. Love the ceramicware. Person behind the counter was friendly & accommodating. Cool place. Thanks!

Brewery that operates as a coffee shop in the morning, nice place to stop by for some really good specialty drinks! The place itself is bright and open, but the coffee is very artisanal, expensive but you get that quality for it. The sesame latte was one of the best in the area, a nice nutty flavor that is bitter and delicious! Great treat for once in awhile!

Great working spot, with one caveat. The coffee is delicious, the space is really bright and open and has never been full when I have gone. But what should be gentle background music is consistently waaayyyy too loud, blowing out the speakers so they rattle and echoing unpleasantly on all the glass and tile. Maybe this is just because no one resets the volume for coffee shop hours in the mornings? If not for this it would be my new regular workday spot, so if you aren't sensitive to noise check it out!

The cafe has a really chill and spacious vibe, definitely a comfortable place to sit and relax. I ordered the black sesame latte. The cup and presentation looked nice, but the drink itself was just okay. For $6 and such a small size, I felt it was a little overpriced.

I love this cafe so much!! A true local gem for chilling and studying. Not only the vibe is great, but the drinks are absolutely amazing too.

Absolutely lovely café. I had a macchiato that had some great character and possibly ranks as my favorite in Pittsburgh. It had the fruitness and cleanliness of flavor that many cafés fail to deliver. The atmosphere was incredibly unique through the adaptive reuse of a historical building. They did a great job with keeping the character of the old building while creating a bright, open space. Service was great. Walked into the barista having a friendly chat with customers. Truly a great place that is memorable and worth a try.

Great atmosphere and will be a good place to work at for some time. Cenele and Black sesame latte are good. Cold brew is okay, a bit too diluted for me. The beverage portion is quite small for the price.

Excellent coffee/ tea spot. The staff is nice and its super cozy, sometimes it gets busy but when I’ve gone it’s been nice and empty. The black sesame latte is similar to a matcha latte. Amazing drink I haven’t seen anywhere else. Doesn’t have any caffeine though so I got a side espresso as well.
